The story is set in London and Paris during the French Revolution. Charles Darnay is a French nobleman who moves to England. Dr. Manette, who spent 18 years in prison, and his daughter Lucie help him. Later, Darnay is arrested in Paris. Sydney Carton, a lawyer who looks like Darnay, sacrifices his own life so Darnay can live. The cover shows Carton’s famous last moment. It’s a story about love, sacrifice, and “a time of revolution”.
